Honest Blues 03:47
What a joke Square one, replay Ground hog day All that shit Is your expression precise? Little things from the past That remind us of who we are Hello egos and transfixed identities Be a light in a dark tunnel Be a hope of truth and honesty In all of this ignorance and backward and wrong In all of this ignorance and backward and wrong Plastic people paint plastic pictures of themselves to retain their plasticity Eating the dreggs of yesteryears culture and fashion We have to ask What is left? What is left? An honest moment, a breath A little hate, a little anger But honesty is deeper and kinder than the kindness that white lies can give Honesty is deeper and kinder than the white lies that this society gives

Young Ones 02:20
Stories are told by the young ones The young ones have a lot to tell If we just listen with ears wide open Stories are told by the strong ones The strong ones have a lot to tell If we might listen to the shores of open dreams Then the memories can tell Then the memories can tell [Let's say] How we became these strong ones with muscles, lifting our heads How we became these strong ones With swords sheathed never drawing skin How we escaped all masquerades How we drowned in the blood of time How we jumped across high fences And left old grounds behind And left old grounds behind Seeing beauty arise from the ashes Walking through a cloud of grey Let's dance with the stars Hear a whisper Enlighten the paths of the weary How we escaped from the world above How we found new ways to play out there, is a mystery And we are not afraid And we are not afraid Stories are told by the young ones The young ones have a lot to tell If we just listen with ears wide open Stories are told by the strong ones The strong ones have a lot to tell If we might listen to the shores of open dreams Then the memories can tell Then the memories can tell

The Fire 05:18
Dream of the dew drops falling on the leaves Dream of the forest and the life that it teams Dream of a place where all are satisfied of ignorance or intelligence, it need not matter which lie I hear you've made a fire A fire without a name I hear you've made a fire To burn and burn this game Dream of a big blaze, the biggest you've ever seen Dream of a world changed and purged of false needs Dream of a reset for us all to behold Dream of a fresh world, and not as leaders have sold I hear you've made a fire A fire without a name I hear you've made a fire To burn and burn this game I hear you've made a fire A fire without a name I hear you've made a fire To burn and burn this game

Up comes along the greatest feast Another conflict, another chance a release The rain it comes, oh no, we feast The cold or the hot burns, yum we eat Eating, gorging, never stopping never sleeping Oh mother benefit where is my meat? Terror, terror, terror, terror - bang, bang, bang, bang Mmm, yummy, yummy, it's so, so, so sweet Bobble head north east west and south The best corporate conflict chefs, Bon Appetit! Mmm, mmm, yummy, yummy - magis conflictus Big world trouble woe, oh what a treat Look another boogey man, writing on the wall Who will save us and who will we call Mmm, mmm, yummy so delish We dare not admit, we enjoy a good tif - a good tif The end, the end, the end is nigh A lovely bountiful, beautiful feast Inner turmoil and inner conflict We can push it all out for this moveable feast Look, look, looky - it's happening over here No wait, it's changed, it's moved over there Oh, this time, this place, no wait over there! All hail, the end, the grand moveable... The Grand Moveable feast

Show me life Show me desire You've got it all Just get it done Don't waste this chance It's not pressure or expectation It's simply reality or consequences Consequently do what you like I can't control you We're all individuals here We've all come to feed Safety is an illusion Don't waste the chance in this game of life This big charade We've got a chance to close the book Finally after all of these years Let's do it Let's dance

I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by you I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by you We are free because we say we are We are the authority because we say we are\ I open the door to your mind this day To culture life that never withers away I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by the clothes that you wear I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by the car that you drive We are free because we say we are We are the authority because we say we are I open the door to your mind this day To culture life that never withers away I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by the bullets you shoot I am not your slave and I will not be told what to do by the weapon in your hand We are free because we say we are We are the authority because we say we are\ I open the door to your mind this day To culture life that never withers away

Here they come the hoardes of the undead Here they come the hipster people Strung out over a millenia And shitting on your head It won't last their hipster freedom It won't last the earth has said What will we do for processed sugar? When the earth collapses on its processed boogas Where will we get our five blend coffee? When the earth is one and slavery is done Where is chocolate in the fall of capital expense? Well it isn't on your bedside table, it isn't starving your rent In a new world of communal living we'll work the land ourselves With friends intent on hipster freedom Like memory has said Sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we gargle in our last breath of deprivation Sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we'll say in our responsibility abdication Where are the slaves we denied were there? To make us our food before Where is the veil of consumerism? That blinded us from the truth We'll make our own our hipster freedom Products of the undead We'll have our freedom when all is done and sleep safely on our beds Where we dream, dream, dream of privatisation Dream, dream And we dream, dream of stupid people with no education So we can make them our property and force them to do work A merry go round with people screaming And off we go again Sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we gargle in our last breath of deprivation Sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we'll say in our priority instigation Or we can dream, dream this world as one and give up our stupid fight for freedom When all is said, when all is said and done Oh, sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we gargle in our last breath of deprivation Sugar we'll yell Coffee we'll scream so high Chocolate we'll say in our private isolation

about

A random collection of songs and recordings collected from various points in time throughout my life as a troubadour/dervish/nomad.

Here is the first official album release as Monty Cash Music.

The name is 'The Letterkenny Lists' because much of the material was gathered together and recorded in Letterkenny, Ireland in November 2019 in the Whiskey Mystic's kitchen (ok, her name is Lucy, and the kitchen was the best place to record because it has great light, minimal road noise disturbance and conveniently accessible coffee and snacks! I basically lived there for a month =) ).

Big thanks to Ivitsa of Alshar Studio in Skopje for mixing and mastering four of the tracks (which I recorded the tracks remotely): Sugar, Coffee and Chocolate; Right to Breathe; Honest Blues; One Last Chance (Let's Dance). See: www.facebook.com/alsharstudio/

The artwork for this was developed from another artwork made by a friend in Sydney over six years ago, whom I cannot remember his name. He drew me as a zombie Jesus and this is a derivative of that piece.
